Santa Clara County, California (February 8, 2023) – A 69-year-old man was killed in a bicycle accident that happened in Cupertino on Tuesday morning.

The fatal collision was reported around 11:30 a.m. on the 10000 block of North Tantau Avenue just south of Interstate Highway 280, according to the Santa Clara County Sherriff’s Office.

A vehicle reportedly struck a bicyclist on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

The 69-year-old cyclist was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Santa Clara County firefighters.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
