Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car at Hageman Road and Mohawk Street in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California (May 19, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in northwest Bakersfield early Friday morning.

According to Bakersfield police, the accident happened at the intersection of Hageman Road and Mohawk Street around 12:15 a.m.

A pedestrian was walking in the area and was struck by a car near the intersection. Emergency crews responded to the incident and performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian.

Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
