1 Killed in Aloha Pedestrian Accident at 178th Avenue and Tualatin Valley Highway

Washington County, Oregon (March 18, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Aloha early Friday morning.

The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 3:48 a.m. at Southwest 178th Avenue and Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the man was walking in a crosswalk and was hit by a car.

The unidentified man died at the accident scene.

The driver of the car, 32-year-old Emanuel Starr, was hospitalized with minor injuries. He was later arrested and charged with manslaughter, driving under the influence and reckless driving.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
