Huntington Beach, California (May 12, 2023) – A 93-year-old woman was killed after her car collided with another vehicle Thursday evening at an intersection in Huntington each.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the crash happened around 4:40 p.m. on May 11 at Magnolia Street and Garfield Avenue.

Per the report, the woman was driving a northbound Buick Rivera on Magnolia Street when she turned left onto Garfield Avenue in front of a southbound Jeep Wrangler and collided.

She was rushed to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries.

The Wrangler driver, a 48-year-old Huntington Beach man, sustained no injuries and remained at the crash site. Authorities were interviewing him.

Impairment was not suspected to be a factor with the Wrangler driver.
