1 Dies, 1 Hurt After Rohnert Park Crash at Golf Course Drive West and Labath Avenue
Rohnert Park, California (December 22, 2022) – One person was fatally injured while another sustained moderate injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning at an intersection in Rohnert Park.
According to a local news source article, the deadly crash happened at around 7:30 a.m. on December 21, on Rohnert Park at Golf Course Drive West and Labath Avenue.
Per the report, a white GMC utility truck sedan was heading westbound on Golf Course Drive and was driving towards Labath Avenue when a black Mercedes drove south onto Labath Avenue.
The Mercedes was initially driving westbound before it went in the GMC’s direction, and the two vehicles ultimately crashed.
The cars sustained significant front-end damage following the accident.
Responding firefighters and medics declared the female Mercedes driver, 78 years, dead at the crash site. The GMC driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police did not immediately release the names of the crash victims.
Authorities closed the intersection for around four hours following the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
