1 Killed and 3 Hurt in Mugu Rock Accident on Pacific Coast Highway 

Mugu Rock, California (March 8, 2023) – One person was killed and three others injured in a multi-vehicle collision near Mugu Rock on Tuesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on Pacific Coast Highway at around 12:20 a.m. March 7.

The CHP said a 32-year-old Oxnard man was driving a 2010 BMW sedan southbound when he swerved into the northbound lanes and collided with an oncoming 2004 GMC sport utility.

The driver of the BMW was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, where he died.

The operator of the GMC, a 25-year-old Oxnard man, was taken to VCMC for treatment of minor injuries. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. 

The three passengers in the GMC, all men aged 25 and from Oxnard, were taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks with minor to major injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
