2 Children Among 3 Hurt in Deadly Vernon Car Collision Involving Big Rig at Bandini Boulevard and Bonnie Beach Place
Vernon, California (December 28, 2022) – One person died, and three others, including children, were critically hurt in a multi-vehicle collision involving a big rig that happened Tuesday afternoon in Vernon.
The accident took place at about 3:40 p.m. at Bandini Boulevard and Bonnie Beach Place.
Three vehicles, including a Ford Mustang, a big rig, and another car, were involved in the crash.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene to find the Mustang lodged underneath the semi-truck.
One occupant in the Mustang was declared dead on the scene. Information about the deceased’s identity was not available.
A child trapped in the Mustang was freed by the firefighters. A second child and an adult inside the car also survived the crash.
The firefighters transported three people to the hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities did not immediately determine the cause of the accident.
