According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 3:38 p.m. in the area of Wallace Road and Cecil Avenue.
Reportedly, a green Chevy pick-up truck and a dark blue Toyota sedan were involved in the crash.
At least one person was killed in the accident.
Two others were transported to Kern Medical for treatment of their injuries.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
