Woman Killed, 2 Men Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Campus Park Drive 

Bakersfield, California (April 19, 2023) – A woman was killed and two men injured in a traffic collision in Southwest Bakersfield on Tuesday night, according to a report by the Bakersfield Police Department.

The wreck happened on Campus Park Drive just before 5:44 p.m. April 18.

Police said a man was traveling eastbound on Campus Park Drive when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle.

The woman driving the westbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The two men in the other vehicle were transported to hospital with moderate injuries.

Speed is suspected to be a factor in the accident.

Campus Park Drive was closed between Mountain Vista Drive and Shimmering Way as authorities worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
