Man Dies, Woman Hurt in Phoenix Car Accident near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road

Phoenix, Arizona (May 13, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was severely injured after a crash Saturday morning in west Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix police, the traffic collision happened around 11:30 a.m. near 51st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Phoenix fire crews responded and discovered a 2-car crash in the area. The manner in which the collision happened was not immediately established.

Both drivers of the cars, a man and a woman, were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

The male driver was later declared deceased at the hospital.

The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
