Bakersfield, CA – One person was killed in a crash that occurred on Sunday morning in Bakersfield, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
A vehicle was traveling west at the intersection when it collided with a southbound vehicle.
A woman riding as a passenger in the southbound vehicle was ejected by the impact of the crash.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other motorist was treated for minor injuries.
Speed and impairment were suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
