1 Hospitalized After Sunol Car Accident on 680 Freeway near Highway 84

Sunol, California (February 17, 2023) – One person was injured in a rollover collision that happened Thursday morning in Sunol, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck took place at around 7:17 a.m. on the northbound 680 Freeway, just north of Highway 84.

A white Toyota Tacoma and a box truck were involved in the collision.

Both vehicles overturned onto their sides, blocking Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.

The driver of the box truck was not able to get out of the vehicle after the crash.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and evaluated the motorists. One person who complained of pain was taken to the hospital for treatment.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
