1 Injured in Car Accident on Highway 101 at Wellsona Road in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo, California (April 13, 2023) – One person was injured in a collision on Tuesday night in San Luis Obispo.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 101 near the intersection with Wellsona Road.

Authorities say a Honda was traveling southbound when it crashed into the right rear end of a semi-truck pulling two trailers.

The semi-truck was reportedly making a left turn onto Wellsona Road when the collision occurred.

The 65-year-old Monterey County resident driving the Honda suffered minor injuries but declined transportation to the hospital. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
