1 Hospitalized After 3-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 near Interstate 280

San Jose, California (April 29, 2023) – One person was taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place at around 3:52 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, just north of Interstate 280.

San Jose firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and found three vehicles involved in the accident.

One driver was taken to Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

CHP officers did not immediately determine the cause of the crash, but they are investigating.
