San Mateo, California (April 18, 2023) – At least one person suffered major injuries in a car crash that happened on Tuesday morning in Redwood City.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:29 a.m. on Highway 92 near Skyline Boulevard.

A semi-truck and a Ford pickup truck were involved in the crash. The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately established.

CHP says at least one person was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated.

One person was transported to the hospital for treatment.
