1 Injured in Car Accident on 580 Freeway near Central Avenue in Oakland

Oakland, California (February 18, 2023) – At least one person suffered major injuries in a traffic collision that happened in Oakland on Saturday morning.

At around 10:48 a.m. the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic collision on the eastbound 580 Freeway near Central Avenue.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision. However, the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

CHP says at least one person was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.
