1 Hospitalized After Vacaville Car Accident on Interstate 80 near Meridian Road On-Ramp

Vacaville, California (March 13, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident that happened early Monday morning in Vacaville, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident was reported at about 5:22 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80, just west of the N Meridian Road on-ramp.

The collision involved a red 2020 Lexus, a white pickup truck, and two other vehicles.

The pickup truck was left blocking traffic lanes, and the Lexus went off the roadway and stopped in mud in a nearby field.

A male occupant in the pickup truck complained of pain to the chest. An ambulance transported the victim to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment.

CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
