Hollister, California (April 17, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a car crash that happened on Monday morning in Hollister.

The wreck happened at around 11:54 a.m. on Highway 101 near Buena Vista Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two vehicles were involved in the morning crash. The impact of the collision caused one of the cars to overturn onto its roof.

One person was pinned in one of the vehicles and had to be extricated.

CHP says one person was transported to an area hospital with major injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
