Bakersfield, CA.- Authorities are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash that left one person injured early Thursday morning in east Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Oswell and Niles streets.
A woman was driving a Nissan involved in a crash with a Kia at the intersection.
The driver of the Kia fled the scene after the accident.
Shortly after, authorities located the Kia, which had been abandoned.
The Kia had earlier been reported stolen.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to Kern Medical in unknown condition.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
