1 Injured in San Diego Car Accident on Highway 163 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard

San Diego, California (April 19, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a fiery car crash on Wednesday morning in San Diego.

The collision happened on northbound Highway 163 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard at around 6 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision. But the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

One of the cars reportedly burst into flames after the collision.

CHP says at least one person was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

One other person was treated at the scene and released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
