One Hurt in Highland Park Train Crash on N. Avenue 59

Highland Park, California (February 6, 2023) – One person was injured in a crash involving a Metro Gold Line train on Sunday evening in Highland Park, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities said the collision happened in the 200 block of N. Avenue 59 at about 5 p.m. February 5.

The train collided with a car for unspecified reasons.

One person was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The tracks were closed temporarily for the investigation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
