1 Hospitalized After El Cerrito Car Crash on El Cerrito Road On-Ramp to Interstate 15
El Cerrito, California (May 18, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision involving a California Highway Patrol vehicle that happened Wednesday night in El Cerrito.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at about 8:25 p.m. on the El Cerrito Road on-ramp to the northbound Interstate 15.
A CHP patrol car collided with a white Lexus sedan for unknown reasons.
One person was taken by AMR to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The identity of the patient remained unclear.
It was also not clear how many CHP officers occupied the patrol car at the time of the accident and if anyone of them was hurt.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
