1 Injured in La Mesa Car Crash on 8 Freeway at El Cajon Boulevard

La Mesa, California (February 15, 2023) – One person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision that happened in La Mesa on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened on the El Cajon Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound Interstate 8, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A vehicle was traveling the wrong way on I-8 when it clipped a car, triggering a chain-reaction collision.

A driver was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The wrong-way driver continued onto La Mesa surface streets and was yet to be located.
