1 Injured in San Diego Car Crash on 5 Freeway near 805 Freeway

San Diego, California (February 25, 2023) – Authorities are investigating a suspected DUI car crash that happened in San Diego on Friday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on 5 Freeway near 805 Freeway at around 5:17 p.m.

The officers who responded to the incident recovered three vehicles at the accident scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.

CHP says at least one person was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Although an investigation into the accident is underway, DUI is suspected to be a factor in the collision.
