1 Hospitalized After San Ramon Car Accident on Interstate 680

San Ramon, California (April 18, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday morning on a freeway in San Ramon, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place at about 9:46 a.m. on southbound Interstate 680 at the Bollinger Canyon Road on-ramp.

Two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and one of them hit a tree.

San Ramon Fire Department responded to the scene.

The firefighters transported one person to John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center with minor injuries.

The southbound Bollinger Canyon Road off-ramp was briefly closed following the collision.

A Subaru with front-end damage was towed away from the scene.
