1 Hurt in Hayward Car Accident on Highway 92 and Hesperian Boulevard

Hayward, California (February 20, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle accident that injured one person on Sunday afternoon in Hayward.

The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on February 19, eastbound Highway 92, just east of Hesperian Boulevard.

According to the CHP officials, five vehicles, including a black Honda Pilot, crashed for reasons yet to be determined. The Honda sustained significant front-end damage following the crash.

Fire officials and medics arrived to aid one party hurt in the collision. The patient’s name and current condition were not provided.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 3 and 4 following the crash. The cars were towed away, and the roadway re-opened as of 2:20 p.m.
