1 Hurt in Albany Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Buchanan Street

Albany, California (March 14, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol report is investigating a two-vehicle accident that injured one person on Monday night in Albany.

The accident happened around 9:11 p.m. on March 13 on the 80 Freeway, just west of Buchanan Street.

Police said two vehicles collided for reasons still under investigation.

Emergency crews and medics rushed to the scene to aid one person who suffered minor lacerations to the head as a result of the accident. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.

Authorities closed lanes 1, 2, and 3 following the collision.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident location.
