1 Sustains Minor Injuries After Newark Motorcycle Accident on 880 Freeway near Mowry Avenue

Newark, California (March 2, 2023) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, one person sustained minor injuries following a motorcycle accident on Wednesday morning in Newark.

The accident happened around 10:05 a.m. on March 1 on the southbound 880 Freeway, just south of Mowry Avenue.

Per the report, a motorcycle and a vehicle crashed for unknown reasons.

Firefighters and medics responded to the accident scene to attend to at least one person hurt. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.

A SigAlert was issued, closing lane 1 and the expressway lane after the crash. The SigAlert was canceled, and the roadway cleared as of 10:36 a.m.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident location.
