1 Injured in Oakland Car Accident on 80 Freeway and Powell Street

Oakland, California (March 3, 2023) – One person sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Oakland, according to a police report.

The crash happened on the westbound 80 Freeway, just east of Powell Street off-ramp, around 5:33 a.m.

Per the dispatch, two vehicles, including a green minivan, collided for reasons yet to be determined.

Emergency crews and medics attended to at least one person hurt in the accident. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 1 and 2 following the accident.

The cars were towed away from the accident location.
