1 Injured in Richmond Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Carlson Boulevard

Richmond, California (February 9, 2023) – According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, one person sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning in Richmond.

The accident happened at around 6:04 a.m. on February 8 on the westbound 80 Freeway, just west of Carlson Boulevard.

Per the report, two vehicles collided for reasons still under investigation.

Firefighters and medics rushed to the scene to aid at least one person hurt in the accident. The injured party’s name and current condition were not immediately released.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 1 and 2 following the collision.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident scene.
