1 Killed in Winchester Car Crash on Washington Street near Highway 79
Temecula, California (May 14, 2023) – One person died in a head-on collision that happened on Sunday evening in Winchester.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Washington Street near Highway 79 at around 5:11 p.m.,
Two SUVs are reported to have collided head-on in unclear circumstances. The impact of the collision caused both cars to overturn.

One person was trapped in a vehicle and had to be extricated by the authorities.
Authorities say one person was killed in the accident.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
Two people were hospitalized with major injuries while two others were treated for minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
