<strong>1 Dies After DUI Accident on Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo<strong>

Vallejo, California (December 22, 2022) – One person was killed while two others sustained injuries after a car accident on Sunday evening in Vallejo, according to a local news source.

The accident occurred at about 7:55 p.m. on December 18 in the 4200 block of Sonoma Boulevard.

Per the source article, a 1965 Chevrolet sedan stalled on the roadway and the male motorist exited the vehicle. A 1999 Honda stopped and parked in the location to assist the disabled sedan.

At the same time, a 2013 BMW SUV was heading north, and it crashed into the rear of the Chevrolet before slamming into the Honda.

A Fairfield male resident, 44, standing outside the Chevrolet sustained fatal injuries while a sedan passenger, an American Canyon resident, 48, was injured in the accident. A Fairfield resident, 41, was also injured in the accident.

The names of the crash victims remained undisclosed.

The BMW driver, a 30-year-old Vallejo resident, was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

Police closed part of Sonoma Boulevard as a result of the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.
