Bicyclist Killed in Hayward Crash on Tennyson Road near I-880 

Hayward, California (May 9, 2023) – A bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision that happened in Hayward on Sunday night, according to the Hayward Police Department.

The incident took place at about 10:30 p.m. May 7, near Tennyson Road, east of the I-880 offramp. 

A 29-year-old man was riding a bike that was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old man.

The rider of the bicycle, a Hayward resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the incident.

No further details were released.

The crash is under investigation.
