1 Killed in Valley Glen Train Accident near Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Raymer Street
Los Angeles, California (May 17, 2023) – One person died after a Metrolink train crashed into a vehicle on the tracks near Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Raymer Street in Valley Glen.
Authorities said the accident happened at around 3:20 p.m., leaving a person trapped inside the car.
Firefighters responded to the scene and cut through the wreckage of the severely mangled vehicle to free the occupant.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The train, Metrolink 113, was bound for Ventura County with 53 people on board. No occupant of the train was injured in the collision.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
