1 Killed in San Francisco Car Accident at 16th and Potrero Streets

San Francisco, California (May 23, 2023) – One person was killed, and four others were injured Tuesday morning after a police pursuit ended in a crash in San Francisco.

According to the authorities, the tragic traffic accident happened around 10:00 a.m. on 16th and Potrero Streets.

The incident started at Folsom and Mabini Streets when police received reports of a stolen car being city-owned. The vehicle was later spotted at Kansas and 25th Streets, where it ended in a police pursuit.

The stolen car crashed into an SUV at the intersection of 16th and Potrero Streets. The truck then careened into a bus stop, seriously injuring two parties.

The vehicle then crashed into a storefront, carrying the victims to the bust stop.

The suspect and four other victims sustained injuries and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment, where one of the victims was declared deceased.

The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

The suspect is under arrest.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
